Mad Casino runs a sportsbook alongside the casino, on the same account and balance. Sports betting follows different rules from the casino side, and the welcome stack does not apply to it.

Odds formats

UK bettors grew up with fractional odds; most international books default to decimal. They express the same thing:

Decimal odds include the stake in the return, which makes them easier to multiply. Implied probability is simply 1 divided by the decimal price. Add up the implied probabilities of every outcome in a market and the total exceeds 100% — the excess is the bookmaker's margin.

How bets settle

A bet settles when the result is official under the book's rules. Football bets normally settle on the result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties, unless the market says otherwise. Postponed events, abandoned matches and withdrawn players each have their own rules in the sportsbook terms.

Cash-out

Where offered, cash-out lets you settle a bet early for a price set by the book. The offer includes a margin, so cashing out is, on average, slightly worse than letting the bet run. It can still be a reasonable choice for managing risk.

Sport and the casino bonus

As advertised, sportsbook stakes are excluded from the welcome stack's wagering. A €100 accumulator reduces the casino bonus requirement by nothing. Note too that a settled sports bet counts in the Monday-to-Sunday window in which it settles, which matters for the weekly cashback calculation explained on its own page.

Keeping control

In-play betting moves quickly and invites repeated small decisions. Setting a deposit limit in the account before you start is far more effective than trying to stop mid-match.
