About this site

madcasinouk.org.uk is a small, independent knowledge base. It explains how one online casino — Mad Casino — works in practice, for readers in the UK. It is not run by the casino, and it is not a comparison site.

The site was started on a simple observation: people rarely lose out on casino promotions because they misunderstand the headline. They lose out because of the rules underneath it — a stake that was a little too high, a game that did not count, a document that was three months and one day old.

What we publish

Explainers on single mechanisms, such as wagering or cashback, with worked examples.
A checklist for identity verification, written by someone who used to review the documents.
Plain-English context on what a Curaçao licence means for UK players.
A glossary and an FAQ for quick reference.

What we do not do

We do not give star ratings or rank casinos against one another.
We do not handle accounts, deposits, withdrawals or complaints.
We do not promise outcomes. Gambling is a paid-for pastime and the house has an edge.

How the site is funded

Some links on the site go to Mad Casino through an affiliate arrangement. If a reader opens an account through one of those links, we may earn a commission. That arrangement is explained in full in our affiliate disclosure and does not change what we write: the pages on weekly cashback limits and wagering costs are as unflattering as the numbers require.

Who writes it

All explainers are written by Declan Shaw, a former casino payments and compliance analyst. Our editorial approach is set out in the editorial policy and how we review.

Who the site is for

Mostly for people who have already heard of Mad Casino and want to understand what they would be signing up to before they do — or who have an account and are puzzled by a rule. If you are deciding whether to gamble at all, we would gently suggest that the answer does not depend on any bonus, and point you to the responsible gambling page first.
